What I will say is that I really don’t care if I’m ever able to get par on a course. I enjoy playing the game and isn’t that what it’s all about. I look forward to going out on the course and enjoy the weather. I live in Florida where there’s more golf courses per capita than any where else in the country. So I have the opportunity to try different golf courses around the state. It’s probably the reason why my game hasn’t improved as much as it could have, but I don’t care.

The pleasure of going out and enjoying the open air, being away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind is fantastic. When I go golfing with any of my friends, we enjoy each other’s company and the conversations flow while we chase balls across beautifully well manicured lawns. Spending three hours outside away from everything else is what I think the game is all about. I’ve even considered checking out some of the golf vacations next year.

The Scottish people invested the game for that reason, so who am I to change that? Actually I think they invented the game to just have another reason to drink. That is why the game has eighteen holes. There is eighteen shots in a bottle of liquor. After every hole they would take a shot and move on to the next one. That doesn’t sound like a game that should be competitive, it sounds more like a game of enjoyment.
