Golf Swing Trainer – Golf Equipment Tips

On golf swing trainer, I will try to help you improve your game in many different tips. Unlike the stock market, tips are a good thing when you need to improve your game. The best tip that I could give in this is by telling you that your equipment will make a difference in how you play. I’ve talked before about custom made golf clubs, but when you are starting out in the game of golf, it may not be the thing to do.

No matter how much time and effort you put into practicing your moves to perfect your game, you still won’t achieve your goal if you have the wrong gear. Here are a few tips to consider when checking on the quality of your equipment.

If you are planning to buy used golf clubs, you need to scrutinize the gear before your purchase them. Three parts of the golf clubs are the club head, shaft as well as the grips. Each of them should pas inspection before adding them to your golf bag. You need to make sure that the set of clubs have a set consistency.

In regards to the grips, they are the only contact points one can access to affect the shot. It’s important to know the core grip of the club and your hands grip size. To determine your core size grip, measure the diameter of the butt of the shaft you’re going to re-grip. The shaft’s diameter should match the grip’s core diameter. In determining your hands grip, the available size grips are regular, mid-size, oversize and jumbo. Use only the best re-gripping materials that will provide optimum performance for your golf clubs.

The next thing to consider is the shaft of the clubs. There are different materials that are used to make the shaft. Steel and graphite made club shafts are the two that are available. Professional golfers prefer steel shafts while graphite are more popular with women. Steel shafts are less expensive then graphite shaft though.

The club heads are something that will also improve your game. The size, material and the condition of them is something to keep in mind.

You clubs are what can make you break you game, so it’s important to have the tool that fit your skill level. Select the ones that will work for you. Different skill levels require various golf clubs. Keep in mind that you are only allowed to bring fourteen golf clubs in your bags (no more, no less), so choose wisely. Your mastery of a certain golf club and your being comfortable with using it must also be put into consideration in deciding which golf club to hit.

A good combination of the right moves and good choice of equipment will better arm you to become the best golfer you could ever be.

Golf Swing Trainer – Custom Clubs (Part One)

Ask any golf swing trainer if getting a set of custom clubs would benefit your game and they’ll tell you that it most definitely will. If your planning on getting a new set of clubs then thinking of having them custom made is the way to go.

Every golfer has a different swing as well as a physical capability. most of the clubs that are out there can be fitted to fit your needs. The lie angle, shaft type and length and also the grip type and size are the thing that are taken into consideration when being fitted for custom clubs. Getting fitted involves just a few easy measurements along with a self-assessment of your game. It become more popular by the not-so-professionals than ever to have a set custom made clubs.

The idea of custom fitting is ensure that the club will be square at impact to produce a straight shot. The clubs are suited to your personal swing. The custom fitting is typically free of charge, based on the fact that you will be buying a brand new set. In some cases you old clubs can be fitted to be custom made, but depending on how much you play, it may be worth going out and buying a new set.

There are several things that are taken into consideration when being fitted for a set of custom made golf clubs. First is your gender along with your height without your shoes on. The distance (in inches) from your wrist (where it bends) to the floor, again without your shoes on.Your age and your handicap is also figured into the mix. How fast you swing the golf club and what club you use at the hundred and fifty yard marker are needed to round out the fitting process.

Custom fitting won’t cure all your bad shots. Coaching will sort that out. But if you do make a good swing, then the custom golf club will arrive correctly at impact and should produce a straight shot at your target. That alone will save shots during a round.

In my next post, I will go over the step involved in being fitted for a set of custom made golf clubs.

Golf Swing Trainer – Custom Clubs (Part Two)

In an earlier post here at golf swing trainer, I discussed the possibility of getting custom made golf clubs. In the post quite few things involved with having custom clubs, but not what’s involved with getting fitted for them. In this post I’m go to let you in on what it takes to get your clubs fitted just for you.

The first part that needs to be taken into consideration is your gender. The industry uses different standard lengths for men and for women.

Your height is along with the distance from your wrist to the floor are used together to determine the length of the club that would be appropriate for you. Club lengths can vary from three and a half inches (for women) to five inches (for men). Just because your taller doesn’t mean that you need a longer club. Most golfers are standard length regardless of the person’s height.

The next step is to take your age, your handicap, self-assessed skill level, the estimated golf swing speed as well as the club you use at the hundred and fifty yard marker. Combined them together to figure the club’s shaft flex that would be right for you.

If you have one of those swings that slice the ball (which means that the toe of the club is leading into the ball), custom clubs can help fix that for you. In some part it may be because of the club being too flat. With custom fitting, the process can make the club more upright to assist you with this. The club is designed so the toe is off the ground at the point of address to compensate.

There are different methods of fitting according to custom golf club manufacturers but ultimately they are all trying to improve your game. To begin with simple measurements such as wrist-to-floor, height and hand size will point you to the right size club and at what angle it should be to the ground. Then you will take a club and hit some balls. One method is to place impact tape on the bottom of the custom golf club and an impact board on the floor. As you hit the ball the board will leave a mark on the tape showing whether the heel or the toe of the custom golf club is striking the floor first.

This will determine if the club face needs to be flatter or more upright. There is equipment that will analyze everything from you club speed to the spin on the ball to help maximize you shot. It will also look at how much backspin you generate as well as impact efficiency. The angle in which the custom golf club approaches the ball and the side spin of it can help fix your game too.
